Havasu Falls EcoTour Adventure:
Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon is without question one of the most amazing places on earth. "Havasupai" means "people of the blue green water" and this natural wonder is the sacred home of many of the Havasupai tribe. To reach this desert oasis requires a 10 mile hike, horseback ride or helicopter flight. The descent to the village of Supai passes through towering sandstone cliffs and narrow canyons. The village is the last place in the U.S. to have its mail delivered by mule! It definitely is off the beaten path. We stay in the quaint Supai Lodge, and from here we access world renowned Navajo, Havasu, and Mooney Falls.
These spectacular turquoise waterfalls are heralded by pristine travertine pools, creating some of the world's best swimming holes and most spectacular hikes. Water this crystal clear can only be found a few places in the world. We spend ample time exploring, taking photos, relaxing, swimming and enjoying "the moment," knowing the hustling, bustling modern world is truly far away. Come join us and our experienced guides for a once in a lifetime adventure.
3 Day Trip Includes:
• Hotel pickup and return (Comfort Inn, Flagstaff, Arizona)
• 2 nights lodging Supai Lodge (Camping Option also available)
• All meals (2 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 2 dinners)
• Tribal permit fees
• Experienced guide to show you the highlights and offer information on culture, geology, wildlife, flora and fauna
Highlights: The Havasupai Tribe has occupied this narrow canyon for over 1000 years. Tucked 3000 feet below the rim, this is one of the most remote settlements in the North America. 600 Indians currently live here in their village of Supai. Relatives of the long ago vanished Pueblo Culture that flourished in the southwest U.S., tourism is their main source of income. Visitors travel here from around the world to experience the unique geology and waterfalls of this Grand Canyon oasis, and they are not disappointed. Photos do not give justice to the majesty and beauty of the canyon!
